What to Wear for a Western Photoshoot
Planning a western photoshoot but stuck on what to wear? The best outfits are the ones that feel like you, just with a little extra western flair.
Start With the Basics
You really can’t go wrong with a good pair of denim and your favorite boots. From there, add pieces that bring some personality to your look, like a statement belt, turquoise jewelry, a cowboy hat, or a fun jacket.
Mix Textures & Layers
Denim, leather, suede, lace, and fringe photograph beautifully and can add dimension without making your outfit feel too busy. Even something as simple as throwing a denim jacket over a dress can completely change the look.
For Couples
Instead of matching outfits exactly, choose colors and textures that complement each other. Think denim with neutrals, earthy tones, brown leather, or subtle western details that tie both looks together.
Don't Forget the Details
Your accessories can make the entire outfit. Boots, belts, jewelry, hats, and even your horse can bring more of your personality into the photos.
Most importantly, wear something you feel confident in. Your session should feel like your version of western, not like you're wearing a costume for the camera.
